International Human Rights Council of Karimganj submitted a memorandum to the DC of Karimganj, Khageswar Pegu, ACS regarding proper medical facilities at Muktob Panchim Patakhauri sub-centre.
The Sub-centre is located at Patakhauri GP. It was built in 2015. However, till date, the substation remains defunct with no doctors or medical equipment allegedly. About five thousand people are deprived of the basic medical facilities in that area.
In the memorandum, the District President of IHRC Santosh Namasudra mentioned that he has informed this matter to the North East executive President Advocate Arkadeep Bhattacharya. If the District Administration of Karimganj fails to address these concerns, he said he will present this case in front of the govt. of Assam and govt. of India.
