Yoga guru Baba Ramdev went to the apex court of India on Wednesday seeking a stay on multiple FIRs which were filed against him from different states for his remark on allopathy. 


In his plea, Baba Ramdev also sought the court to transfer all his cases to Delhi. Back in May 2021, a video of Swami Ramdev went viral on social media where he was seen saying, "1,000 doctors have died even after getting both doses of the vaccine. What kind of doctors would they be if they could not save themselves?” After his controversial remark, various units of the Indian Medical Association filed complaints against him.


Earlier, Rs 1000 Crore defamation notice was sent by IMA Uttarakhand to Swami Ramdev over his remark against allopathy and modern science.The notice demanded a video countering the statements made by Swami Ramdev and that he tender a written apology within the next 15 days, failing to which it said it will demand compensation of Rs 1000 crore from him.
