Video of a Kolkata man playing the violin goes viral on social media; netizens call it heartwarming


The video of an elderly man named Bhogoban Mali, went viral on social media. The elderly man is a resident of Girish Park, Kolkata who is a struggling artist playing the violin to entertain people in the lockdown.

Netizens on social media have applauded the old man for his extraordinary talent.

The original video of Bhogoban Mali was shared by journalist Aarif Shah on the micro-blogging site (@aarifshaah). Later, music composer Savvy Gupta also shared this video on her Twitter handle and asked her followers to help the struggling.

Mali, in the 2.05-minute clip plays Diwana Hua Baadal by Asha Bhosle and Mohammed Rafi, from the 1964 movie Kashmir ki Kali, followed by Ajeeb Dastan Hai Yeh by Lata Mangeshkar from the 1960 movie Dil Apna Aur Preet Parai.

Netizens on social media have come in support of this old man, many have asked various NGOs to come forward and help this man.
