Deputy Commissioner of Cachar Keerthi Jalli, IAS, on Monday (June 7), inaugurated the Jeevan Deep Programme under Arogya Cachar Campaign. The main objective behind the launch of Jeevan Deep Programme is to help people in the district who are mildly symptomatic to COVID-19 and are having difficulty in breathing. The District Administration of Cachar stated that people who are hesitating to admit themselves in the hospital for temporary breathing problems, can stabilize their oxygen needs by using the given facility.
The District Administration of Cachar further informed that two dedicated teams - Community Health Officer (CHO) and paramedics will be working round the clock. The CHO and paramedics will be provided with a mobile van, oxygen concentrator, generator, pulse oximeter etc. It has also been reported that the teams will reach out to the patient's residence with oxygen concentrators if they get any call of patients from the war room. Further, if the patient is stabilized, the ambulance will pick up the patient to admit in the hospital if required.
The Jeevan Deep Programme under Arogya Cachar Campaign was launched by the Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, Keerthi Jalli, IAS. DC Cachar was accompanied by Sri. Elded Faihriem, CEO, Zilla Parishad; Dr. B.J Deb Sikdar, i/c Jt. Director of Health Services and several officials of the district administration and health department.
