The resurgence of Covid-19 has brought the nation's inadequate health infrastructure under severe stress with many succumbing to the viral disease. The elderly are more vulnerable to this deadly virus. Over 95% of the deaths occurred in those older than 60 years of age. However, 100-year-old Prabhaboti Devi not only fought this deadly virus with ease but is also maintaining a healthy diet post-Covid.
Prabhaboti Devi Roy is a resident of Cachar School Road, Malugram. Roy tested positive for Covid-19 after tolerating mild symptoms of Covid. Initially, she was under home-isolation but considering her age, her family members decided to shift her to Green Heals Hospital, Silchar. She spent four days at the hospital, and during her treatment, she said "I have seen so much cough and cold in my lifetime, this virus cannot affect me for long." Her confidence played a great role in her treatment. Within no time she tested negative for Covid-19 on 11th May.
Doctors have always claimed that awareness and vigour against covid are remarkably vital for battling against this deadly virus and this is the only reason why Roy came out of it like a champion.
